Derby Tube is a solvent-based adhesive containing Polychloroprene.
Places of Use:
Derby Tube is an adhesive that can be applied in upper leather, textile, leather and neolith sole bonding processes.
Application:
Both surfaces of the material to be bonded are sanded. Dust resulting from sanding is carefully cleaned. Possible oils and dirt on the material are cleaned with cleaning solvent. Derby Tube is applied to neolith material once, to leather, or to porous materials twice with a clean brush at 30-minute intervals. Leave it at room temperature for 15-30 minutes to ensure that the solvent on the surface of the material evaporates. After the material is bonded, it must be pressed at least 3 bars. Pressing time is at least 10 seconds. Derby Tube, like all Neoprene-based adhesives, thickens below 0°. If the adhesive in this situation is kept at room temperature for 1 day, it will return to its original state. It should never be heated over fire.
